Police Appeal following a Burglary on Aldern Way, Bakewell |

Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary at an address on Aldern Way, Bakewell.
It is believed the burglary happened some time between the 13th and 19th March 2026.
If you saw anything untoward or you have cctv / dashcam footage which shows anything suspicious in the area during this timeframe, please contact us on 101 quoting crime reference 26000159333.
As this is also causing some concern in the area we are offering the following crime prevention checklist, please share with any elderly relatives who may not be on social media.
🏠 Burglary Prevention Advice 🔐 1. Secure Doors & Windows Always lock doors and windows, even when at home or popping out.
Use timer switches on lights, radios, or TVs when out.
Fit a burglar alarm—ideally a monitored or audible alarm.
Lock gates with robust padlocks.
Keep valuables out of sight from windows.
Use hasp-and-staple bolts and closed‑shackle padlocks.
Encourage neighbours to look out for each other’s homes.
Avoid posting holiday dates or expensive purchases online.
If you see something suspicious: Call 101 (or 999 if a crime is in progress).
